    Successful qualification on this course will result in a level 2 award (Level 6 Scotland) in Health and Safety in the Workplace being issued to the learner.

    Should you attend?

    This course may be of particular benefit to those taking on a specific duty, such as a health and safety representative. Successful candidates will be awarded a national level 2 (level 5 Scotland) qualification, which will provide an ideal platform for higher-level training or career development.

    Objectives

    By the end of the training, delegates will be able to:

    • Understand the roles and responsibilities of health, safety and welfare in the workplace.
    • Understand the risk assessment process and appreciate the value of risk assessments.
    • Identify and control workplace hazards.
    • Understand how to respond to workplace incidents and accidents.

    This, in turn, should improve the workplace health and safety culture and result in fewer accidents and hours lost due to sickness.

    Duration

    This is delivered in 1 day in the classroom environment.

    Alternatively, the course can now be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams or a software platform of your choice.

    Exam format

    Ongoing assessment by the tutor and multiple-choice question paper.

    This qualification does not expire, however refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to legislation is strongly advisable to keep the qualification current.
