    Course Includes

    Successful qualification on this course will result in a level 1 award (Level 4 Scotland) in Fire Safety being issued to the learner. This is an excellent introduction to fire safety in the workplace and will benefit any worker, in any industry or sector. This half-day course will benefit both the learner and the business by helping to prevent fires through increased awareness. It deals with how fires can occur and what to do in the event of a fire.

    Should you attend?

    This course is for people at any level, in any sector worldwide who need a grounding in the essentials of fire safety and prevention. It gives everyone at work an understanding of what precautions should be taken to prevent fires occurring and how to react in the event of a fire breaking out.

    Objectives

    By the end of the training, delegates will understand:

    • The common causes of fire
    • The behaviour of fire
    • Legislation and responsibilities
    • Fire prevention
    • What to do if a fire breaks out
    • How to use fire extinguishers
    • Emergency evacuation procedures

    Duration

    This is delivered in ½ a day in the classroom environment.

    Exam format

    Ongoing assessment by the tutor and multiple-choice question paper.

    This qualification does not expire, however refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to legislation is strongly advisable to keep the qualification current.
