Learners will be awarded a new IOSH Managing Safely Certificate on successful completion of the assessment. Please note that to attend this refresher course, learners must have previously attended an IOSH Managing Safely Course.
The course provides a refresher on key themes covered on the original IOSH Managing Safely Course including assessing risks; controlling risks; understanding responsibilities; understanding common workplace hazards; investigating incidents; measuring performance and the Plan-do-check-act model.

Objectives
- Why leadership is important and how to create a positive safety culture
- How to plan for health and safety including the development and delivery of a health and safety policy
- How to implement a health and safety plan and undertake risk assessments
- How to check health and safety plans are working and measure performance.
- How to act on findings following performance review and implement lessons learned
Duration
There is the flexibility to deliver in two ½ day sessions.
Alternatively, the course can now be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams or a software platform of your choice.
Exam format
This qualification does not expire, however refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to legislation is strongly advisable to keep the qualification current. The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher is recommended for this purpose and can be taken by delegates who have attended the IOSH Managing safely Course within the last three years.
